Kinship Legislative Task Force
The Kinship Legislative Task Force include members of social service agencies who meet periodically to discuss and educate the community about bills and polices affecting kinship families in Michigan. The Legislative Task Force has been instrumental in the first drafting of the Subsidized Guardianship bill (SB-170- http://www.legislature.mi.gov/). This bill would provide kinship families with guardianship of the children in their care with a monthly stipend. To join the task force, please contact the center.
