Day 1 of 30 Days of Wishes
In honor of Kinship Awareness Month, a Kinship Caregiver will be honored each day during the month of September in recognition of their dedication and effort in providing for the safety and wellbeing of the children in their care. Caregivers were nominated by a trusted friend, family member, or professional. In partnership with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services , caregivers will receive a "wish" that offers support for family activities. Check back each day of September for a new story of courage and hope.

To kick off 30 Days of Wishes, we are recognizing Sonya! She is described as a patient and compassionate caregiver of four little ones. The nominator stated, "The children have a home where they feel wanted because Sonya makes it a priority".
