In honor of Kinship Awareness Month, a Kinship Caregiver will be honored each day during the month of September in recognition of their dedication and effort in providing for the safety and well-being of the children in their care. Caregivers were nominated by a trusted friend, family member, or professional. In partnership with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, caregivers will receive a "wish" that offers support for family activities. Check back each day of September for a new story of courage and hope.
Today we are recognizing Angela. Their nominator stated, "Angela is an advocate for other caregivers, other children, other organizations, and continually promotes and distributes information and support for those in need. I have an endless number of examples of the one of a kind person she is!"
